FSI Course Selection Seminar

     On February 3, 2024, the First Spark Institute hosted a high school course selection seminar, targeted at educating incoming freshman and underclassmen on the process of course selection and college preparation during their time in high school. Inviting two highly experience guest speakers, participants were able to ask questions and received personalized help with any concerns they had. FSI understands the difficulties that come with the transition into the new environment of high school education, and through our annual talk, we hope to provide incoming students with the best possible information to set them up for success. From the new GPA system to preparation for testing like the SAT and PSAT, or even the nuances of each individual type of course available, FSI provided a comprehensive overview of all the obstacles and checkpoints that students can expect to face in the future.
